husband & dad, bit monastic, lots of dork & embarking on a new pilgrimage
On our way out to Waimea Bay yesterday & the North Shore of Hawaii I began to tell Erin about the plot/storyline of North Shore the movie. You know, it's that everyday story of Arizona surf kid (wave pools) who comes to Hawaii befriends a couple of locals cause he's such an idiot, falls for the prettiest girl & eventually wins the big surfing contest. Erin responded " so it sounds like RAD but with surfing." I was totally offended. In North Shore the surfer guy goes to the contest. In RAD the big contest comes to him. That's is a fundamental difference & thus should never have the two movies equated together. &:-)
